Originally designed as a two storey structure to be built in two phases, January 2019 saw the commencement on site of the second phase, for the expansion of the existing data switch rooms with a new facility over.
Though the scheme calls for a relatively ’simple’ box on top of an existing box, with an additional circulation and access core, the complex servicing aspect of the nature of the spaces and the fact that the centres facilities around and below must remain operational throughout the works creates for an interesting and complicated build process.
The project was delivered back to the Client in November 2019.
